The very thought of making donation or giving Dana is a
true reflection of divinity inside human being. All living creatures breathe;
inhale and exhale the air of ‘give and take’.
In fact, our
inclination to share all that we can with others is Nature’s way of telling us
to give a measure of ourselves to society in return for what we have taken from
it. From the cradle to the grave, human beings owe to the society so much that
they can hardly pay back half of it with the best will in the world. If done to
the right recipient in the right place, donation is the noblest act of service
to humanity that a person can do in life.
The history of mankind is replete with shining examples
of those who donated most of their possession in order that Dharma prevailed
over Adharma, and therefore , righteousness to their time. Dadhichi donated the
very bones of his life, Karna gave his life saving Kundalas in bounty, Mahatma
Gandhi and Mother Teresa dedicated their life to the service of the downtrodden
and the unprivileged. And our contemporary benefactors such as Bill Gates,
Warren Buffet and Aziz Premji are also case in point.
Some make donation in the spirit of charity for charity
sake and others do donation to the charity as a part of their corporate social
responsibility. The former may have a reason to ‘give’ whereas the latter have
a clear idea on their beneficent virtue.
Whatever the motive, Donation awakens social conscience,
the very basis of humane social existence. Hence, it becomes the moral duty of
every single person to donate whatever s/he can.
Still fresh into volunteering, we present to the world
our pledge of self-less service both in words and deeds with a view to
promoting universal brotherhood and upholding values. This guild of budding
creative spirits has devised an educational technology, GESM.
A print medium, INDIA REDEEMING-Education &
Literary Quarterly has also been brought into life to give voice to our
troubled people. The idea is to work to redeem our nation in particular and the
world in general.
So, dear readers, rise to occasion! Donate whatever you
can from wealth to knowledge.
Subscribe to our journal as every penny earned out of it
will be put to promote the high cause. Help us make our mission of redeeming
humanity through education strong enough to set an example in self-less service
to mankind- a most pressing need of the hour!
